6 Basic Requirements to Start a Play School / Preschool in India ?
- Space : Area of 1200 – 1500 Sq.Ft., it can be residential or commercial, preferably a ground floor.
- Investment : Rural India : Rs.2-5 Lakhs, Semi Rural : Rs.4-6 Lakhs, Urban : 5-10 Lakhs, It Includes building painting, play equipment’s, furniture, classroom teaching materials and toys, play equipment’s etc.
- Government Permissions : Not all states have these rules now, post New Education Policy 2020, after making this early childhood education a compulsory education, we are expecting certain rules and regulation along with approval to run these small preschools or play schools.
- Teacher : Initially to start, we can start with 2 teachers with a minimum graduate as qualification. Industry standard child teacher ratio is 1: 10/12/15, depending upon area (region) and fees.
- Care Taker : Friendly and caring care takers to take care of children and maintaining the school premises. Initially we can start with 2 care takers and with number of children we can increase.
